Amara:The Statue

Amara: The Statue follows a magical girl made of gold who has spent a century as a motionless exhibit in a city museum. While visitors perceive her as a statue, she awakens at midnight and can remain conscious only while music is playing. As she wanders through the museum and interacts with other historical figures who have come to life, she struggles with a deep desire to leave the building and see the stars. The story explores themes of freedom and self-expression through orchestral-pop songs and a specialized dance style.

The film was directed by Sophia Carter and featured a screenplay written by Maureen Ruby Jackson. Jackson also starred in the lead role as Amara. The supporting cast includes Lil Champ, Martha Raye, Danielle King, Rumi Von-Clarke, and Gracyen Duncan-Smith. This action and adventure production has a runtime of 105 minutes and was released on May 8, 2026.
