Wild, Wild Westphalia

The residents of Underrath have barricaded themselves inside a local pub to protest the removal of their village. Andreas, a representative for a lignite mining corporation, attempts to persuade the group to sign contracts and leave peacefully. As he delivers an ultimatum involving the police, a mysterious cowboy enters the room and encourages the locals to fight for their home instead.

This German production is a blend of comedy, drama, and western genres with a runtime of 12 minutes. It was produced by ifs internationale filmschule köln gmbh and directed by Moritz Maniera Siebert, who wrote the screenplay with Milan Buse. The film features Jesse Albert in the role of the cowboy, alongside Miguel Abrantes Ostrowski as Andreas and Ruzica Hajdari as Camilla. Other cast members include Peter Clös and Leon Thieme.
