Set in 1976, the story follows Aldo, a specialist in explosives who has been forced into exile in Italy following protests. While there, he meets Luciana, a doctor with anarchist beliefs. She offers to help him reunite with his family, but her assistance is contingent on Aldo returning to his former profession by constructing bombs for revolutionary causes.

This historical drama is the third film directed by Sergio Castro San Martín, following 8 Fotógrafos and Mil pedazos. The screenplay was written by Simona Nobile, Juan Cristóbal Guarello, and San Martín. The movie is a co-production between Italy, Chile, and Switzerland, produced by companies including SRG SSR, RSI, Cinédokké, and EQUECO.
