Dhoom

Dhoom follows a group of motorcyclists who carry out a series of robberies in Mumbai, striking quickly on high-speed bikes and vanishing before the police can respond. ACP Jai Dixit is assigned to the case, and he brings in Ali, a clumsy but talented motorcycle mechanic and rider, to help track the gang down. Their target is Kabir, the gang's composed and arrogant leader, who stays a step ahead of them and turns the pursuit into a personal contest. The chase moves from Mumbai to Goa, where the conflict between the police and the robbers reaches its conclusion.

The film was directed by Sanjay Gadhvi and written by Vijay Krishna Acharya, with Aditya Chopra producing. It was Gadhvi's first Dhoom film, followed by Dhoom 2 in 2006. Abhishek Bachchan plays Jai Dixit, Uday Chopra plays Ali, and John Abraham plays Kabir, with Esha Deol, Rimi Sen and Manoj Joshi among the credited cast of twenty-one. Made on a budget of about 2 million USD, it took roughly 12 million USD worldwide.
