Short description
Two turkeys from opposite sides of the tracks must put aside their differences and team up to travel back in time to change the course of history—and get turkey off the holiday menu for good.
What's left behind the scenes
- To better understand the psychology and physiology of the main characters, the project's creators – artists, animators, and designers – visited a turkey farm in East Texas.
- To develop the characters' physicality, the modeling department specialists bought a frozen turkey at the nearest supermarket, reconstructed the bird, and then conducted a series of computer movement tests.
- To most accurately convey the movements of the main characters' plumage, the team developed their own program called Avian (avian – English for bird).
- In one scene, the residents throw dynamite at the turkeys. Dynamite was invented in 1867 – 250 years after the time period in which the film's events take place.
