One Piece Film: Z

The Straw Hat Pirates cross paths with a man who once served as an admiral in the Marines, now known only as Z. He commands a group called the Neo Marines and has stolen a powerful material from the Navy, intending to use it to bring the pirate era to an end. When Luffy and his crew meet him at sea, they are beaten badly, and three of them are left years younger by the power of Z's subordinate Ain. The Marines move against Z as well, aware that his plan could shake the foundations of the New World, while the former admiral Kuzan pursues the Straw Hats.

One Piece Film: Z is a Japanese animated action-adventure directed by Tatsuya Nagamine, his third feature and the one that followed two earlier Precure films. Osamu Suzuki wrote the screenplay, and the voice cast includes Mayumi Tanaka as Monkey D. Luffy, Kazuya Nakai as Roronoa Zoro, Akemi Okamura as Nami, Kappei Yamaguchi as Usopp, Hiroaki Hirata as Sanji and Ikue Otani as Tony Tony Chopper.

The film was released in December 2012 and took about 77 million dollars worldwide, a strong result for a Japanese animated release. On IMDb it holds a 7.7 rating from roughly 11,000 votes, and on TMDB a 7.5 from several hundred.
