An animated adventure comedy from 2013, LEGO Batman: The Movie – DC Super Heroes Unite follows Bruce Wayne's Gotham City celebration, where he is honoured as citizen of the year. The party collapses into chaos when the Joker arrives with a crowd of villains, among them the Riddler, Catwoman and Two-Face. Batman takes on these uninvited guests, but Lex Luthor is present too, carrying a secret device known as the Deconstructor that could shift the balance of power in Gotham for good. Since Batman and Robin cannot handle the combined threat alone, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and the Flash join the fight.
The film is directed and produced by Jon Burton, who also wrote the screenplay with David A. Goodman. It is an early feature in Burton's directing career. The voice cast includes Troy Baker as Bruce Wayne, Batman, Two-Face and Brainiac; Charlie Schlatter as Robin, Tim Drake, Tim Drake's alter ego the Flash and Barry Allen; Travis Willingham as Superman; Clancy Brown as Lex Luthor; Christopher Corey Smith as the Joker; and Rob Paulsen as the Riddler.
At 71 minutes, the film is a short animated family feature made by Warner Bros. Animation with DC Entertainment, DC Comics and LEGO. Audiences rate it modestly: on IMDb it holds 6.4 out of 10 from around 6,200 votes, and on TMDB 6.5 out of 10 from roughly 308 votes. The two audiences agree closely.
