A man awakens tied and hooded in a desert, facing certain death until a woman living in isolation rescues him. Suffering from amnesia, he has no memory of his identity. His only lead is a note in his pocket mentioning a person named Manny Elder, which prompts a trip to Los Angeles to uncover his history. As he searches for answers, he discovers that the people and clues he encounters are deceptive, leading toward a revelation more unusual than he expected.
