Code Geass: Akito the Exiled 1: The Wyvern Arrives

Set in Europe in 2017 a.t.b., this story takes place between the emergence of the Black Knights and the return of Zero. The Holy Britannian Empire has launched an invasion of the European Union, pushing the allied nations toward defeat. In response, the EU army creates a specialized unit called W-0. Akito Hyuga, a young pilot, is a member of this group. Leila Malkal, a former Britannian aristocrat, commands the Wyvern Knightmare corps, which consists of Japanese teenagers. These soldiers engage in high-risk combat with very low survival rates as they fight for their freedom and a place to call home.
