Short description
Meghan Miles works as a reporter at a small local television station in Los Angeles and hopes to move up to a news anchor position at a national network. After a disappointing job interview and a breakup with her boyfriend, her friends take her out for a night of heavy drinking. She wakes up the next morning in a stranger's apartment with no phone, car, identification or money, and then learns that she is back in contention for the network job. She has roughly eight hours to cross the city and reach the interview, while avoiding the local tabloid press and a pair of police officers who want to profit from her situation.
Steven Brill directed and wrote the screenplay, and the film sits between Movie 43 and The Do-Over in his filmography. Elizabeth Banks plays Meghan, with James Marsden as Gordon, Gillian Jacobs as Rose, Sarah Wright as Denise, Ethan Suplee as Officer Dave and Bill Burr as Officer Walter.
