The Crew

Four retired mobsters living in a Miami hotel face eviction when the owner decides to renovate the building to attract wealthier guests. To prevent the redevelopment of their residence, the group stages a gruesome murder in the lobby using a body stolen from a morgue. Their plan succeeds in scaring away investors, but they inadvertently trigger a conflict with a dangerous drug lord and attract the attention of a police officer who is the daughter of one of the men.

Directed and written by Michael Dinner, this film followed his previous works Off Beat and Hot to Trot. The ensemble cast features Richard Dreyfuss, Burt Reynolds, Dan Hedaya, Seymour Cassel, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Jennifer Tilly. Produced by Barry Sonnenfeld and Barry Josephson through Touchstone Pictures, the movie is an action comedy centered on crime.

The production had a budget of 38 million USD but earned 13 million USD at the worldwide box office. Audience reception was mixed, with a rating of 5.6/10 on IMDb from 6,900 votes and 5.5/10 on TMDB from 48 votes. Film critics gave the movie a lower rating of 3.9/10 based on 84 reviews.
