Short description
Casey Stein is an American traveling through Germany with his girlfriend, Juliette, when her medical emergency forces him to confront a criminal past he had left behind. To cover the cost of her treatment, he takes on a job for Geran, a smuggler he once worked for, targeting the feared gangster Hagen Kahl. The plan goes wrong, and Casey finds himself pursued by Hagen's organization across the German autobahns, with Juliette also in danger.
Collide is a 2016 action thriller directed by Eran Creevy, his second feature after Welcome to the Punch in 2013, from a screenplay he wrote with F. Scott Frazier. Nicholas Hoult and Felicity Jones lead the cast as Casey and Juliette, with Anthony Hopkins as Hagen Kahl and Ben Kingsley as Geran, supported by Marwan Kenzari and Aleksandar Jovanović. Joel Silver, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Rory Aitken produced the film for Silver Pictures, Automatik Entertainment, DMG Entertainment and 42.
The film opened in June 2016 with a budget of 22 million dollars and took about 7 million dollars worldwide. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.6 from roughly 649 votes, while the critics' score stands at 4 out of 10 from 42 reviews, indicating that audiences responded somewhat more favorably than reviewers did.
