After leaving the Navy, Elvis Valderez travels to Corpus Christi, Texas, to find the father he never knew. He discovers that David Sandow is a respected local pastor with a family of his own. While some accounts suggest Elvis integrates himself into the church community, others indicate a more hostile relationship where the pastor attempts to distance himself from his estranged son. The tension escalates as Elvis seeks to disrupt his father's stable domestic life and reputation, leading to a series of conflicts involving Sandow's children.
The film was directed by James Marsh, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Milo Addica.
