Scooby-Doo! Stage Fright follows the Mystery Inc. gang to Chicago, where Fred and Daphne have reached the finals of a televised talent competition called Talent Star. The broadcast is set in an old opera house with a troubled past, and a masked phantom begins sabotaging the production, threatening to shut the show down. While Shaggy and Scooby secretly prepare an act of their own, the group sets out to uncover who is behind the haunting.
The film is a 2013 direct-to-video animated release from Warner Bros. Animation, running 75 minutes. Victor Cook directed and produced it, working from a screenplay by Doug Langdale. It sits seventh in Cook's directing credits, between Scooby-Doo! Haunted Holidays and Scooby-Doo! Ghastly Goals. The voice cast is led by Frank Welker as Scooby-Doo and Fred, Matthew Lillard as Shaggy, Mindy Cohn as Velma, and Grey DeLisle as Daphne, with Isabella Acres and Troy Baker among the supporting players.
Audience response has been solid for a direct-to-video title: it holds a 6.8 rating on IMDb from roughly 2,900 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 7.5 from about 245 votes. The smaller TMDB sample is warmer, but both point to a film that satisfied the series' regular viewers.
