Reptilicus

A Danish drilling crew unearths a frozen segment of a prehistoric reptile's tail, and the find is sent to Copenhagen for study. Once at the laboratory, the tissue thaws and proves to be alive, regenerating into a complete creature. The revived beast, Reptilicus, escapes and goes on a rampage through the city, destroying buildings and property. It is able to move on land, in water and through the air, and its tough scales make it difficult for the authorities to stop. As the military struggles to contain the monster, scientists search for a way to destroy it.

This Danish-American co-production was directed by Sidney W. Pink, who wrote the screenplay with Ib Melchior. It was among the first films Pink directed, following earlier work as a producer, and it was made with American International Pictures and Saga Studio, among others. Bent Mejding plays Svend Viltorft, with Asbjørn Andersen as Professor Martens, Ann Smyrner as Lise Martens, Mimi Heinrich as Karen Martens, Dirch Passer as Petersen and Marlies Behrens as Connie Miller.

The film runs 81 minutes and sits in the horror and science fiction genres. Audience response has been poor: on IMDb it holds a rating of 3.7 from around 4,800 votes, and on TMDB 3.6 from just over a hundred votes, indicating a largely negative reception across both platforms.
