The Snake

Vincent Mandel is a successful fashion photographer in Paris whose life begins to unravel during a difficult divorce and a legal battle over the custody of his two children. His situation worsens when he is falsely accused of rape following a studio session with a model. Amidst this crisis, he is contacted by Joseph Plender, a former schoolmate who appears helpful but is actually the leader of a criminal gang. Plender uses blackmail and manipulation to seek revenge for past traumas, dragging Vincent into a dangerous struggle for survival involving murder and kidnapping.

Directed by Eric Barbier, this thriller marks the first film in a series of five listed works by the director, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Trân-Minh Nam. The movie features a cast including Yvan Attal, Clovis Cornillac, Pierre Richard, Simon Abkarian, Olga Kurylenko, and Minna Haapkylä.
