Slipstream

Set in a future where human pollution has devastated the planet, the story takes place in a world dominated by massive, destructive winds. A bounty hunter named Matt kidnaps a murderer from the custody of two law enforcement officers, hoping to claim the reward for himself. This action sparks a dangerous pursuit across the atmosphere, leading the characters into the treacherous wind currents known as the slipstream. The plot also explores themes regarding artificial intelligence and the nature of humanity.

Directed by Steven Lisberger, this film followed his previous projects Tron and Hot Pursuit. The production was a joint effort between the United Kingdom and Turkey, produced by Entertainment Film. The cast features Mark Hamill as Will Tasker, alongside Bill Paxton as Matt Owens, Kitty Aldridge, Bob Peck, Eleanor David, and Robbie Coltrane. The screenplay was written by Tony Kayden.
