Mutiny

Set during the War of 1812, this adventure film follows Captain James Marshall, who is tasked with breaking through a British blockade to retrieve a secret war loan of gold from France. To assist him, Marshall hires Ben Waldridge, a former British Navy captain. Waldridge brings along his old gun crew, but the sailors begin plotting a mutiny once they discover the gold is on board. The arrival of the treasure is accompanied by Leslie, a former lover of Waldridge who also desires the wealth, leaving Waldridge's true loyalties in question.

Directed by Edward Dmytryk, this production is the sixth of 18 films in his career, following The Sniper and preceding The Juggler. The movie was produced by King Brothers Productions and features a cast including Mark Stevens, Angela Lansbury, and Patric Knowles. The screenplay was written by Philip Yordan and Sidney Harmon.
