Short description

Another Gantz is a science fiction mystery film that provides an alternative perspective on the events of the first Gantz movie. While it includes condensed footage from the original story, the film introduces a new subplot centered on an investigative journalist named Kikuchi. This character discovers classified footage of people being struck by trains in the subway, only to find that the victims were never recovered, leading him to probe the deeper mysteries of the Gantz world.

Directed by Shinsuke Sato, this production followed Gantz and Gantz: Perfect Answer in his filmography. The screenplay was written by Yusuke Watanabe. The movie features a cast including Kazunari Ninomiya, Kenichi Matsuyama, Natsuna Watanabe, Kanata Hongo, and Tomorowo Taguchi. It was produced in Japan by TOHO, Shueisha, Nikkatsu Corporation, and Nippon Television Network Corporation.

Released on April 22, 2011, the film has a runtime of 130 minutes. Audience reception is mixed, with a rating of 5.4 on IMDb based on 494 votes and a higher score of 6.9 on TMDB from 56 votes.
