The Skeleton Twins

Maggie and Milo are twins who have drifted apart over the years. On the same day, each of them narrowly escapes death, and the coincidence pushes them to reconnect. Their reunion brings them back into each other's lives, where both are struggling: Maggie is unhappy in her marriage to Lance, while Milo, a gay man and a failed actor, returns to his hometown and reconnects with Rich, a former teacher. The siblings confront what has gone wrong in their lives and come to see that repairing their own relationship may be central to moving forward. Their mother, Judy, re-enters their lives and complicates the family dynamic further.

The Skeleton Twins is a 2014 American drama directed by Craig Johnson, who wrote the screenplay with Mark Heyman. It was the first of the four features Johnson has directed, followed by Wilson, Alex Strangelove and The Parenting. Bill Hader plays Milo and Kristen Wiig plays Maggie, with Luke Wilson, Ty Burrell, Boyd Holbrook and Joanna Gleason in supporting roles. The film runs 92 minutes.
