Jonathan is a man who has lived apart from his wealthy family for many years. When he learns that his terminally ill father, Robert, intends to be removed from life support within two days, he returns home to spend these final hours with him. This decision creates tension within the family, as Robert's wife and daughter oppose the choice to stop treatment. Amidst this conflict, Jonathan attempts to reconcile with his relatives and reconnects with a former partner. Through interactions with a fellow patient and a nurse, he navigates the emotional struggle surrounding his father's desire for autonomy and the family's grief.
