Bitch Slap

Three women with very different backgrounds converge on an isolated trailer in the desert. Trixie is a stripper down on her luck, Camero works as a drug courier and killer, and Hel moves in corporate circles. Their plan is to force a underworld figure to reveal where a fortune in diamonds is hidden and take it for themselves. What begins as an extortion scheme turns into a standoff as other interested parties close in, and the women must fight to keep both the loot and their lives.

Rick Jacobson directed and co-wrote the film with Eric Gruendemann, and both also produced it. It was Jacobson's second feature, arriving fifteen years after his debut Terminal Voyage and more than a decade before The Royal Treatment, and it leans into stylized action, dark comedy and crime-thriller territory. The cast is led by Julia Voth, Erin Cummings and America Olivo as the three women, with Lucy Lawless, Zoë Bell and William Gregory Lee in supporting roles.

Released in 2009, the film drew little enthusiasm from critics, whose rating sits at 4.2/10 from 18 reviews. Audiences were similarly unimpressed: on IMDb it holds 4.5/10 from around 15,000 votes, and on TMDB it stands at 4.8/10 from roughly 316 votes. The two audience scores are close to each other and to the critics' figure, indicating a broadly negative reception across the board.
