Delirium: Photo of Gioia

Gioia runs a successful adult magazine called Pussycat, and she has everything that comes with it: money, staff, and a share of unwanted attention. Someone who has been following her closely turns that attention into violence, killing the magazine's models one after another. After each murder, Gioia receives a photograph showing the victim's body arranged around one of her own posters. The police look into the killings and suspicion spreads among the people around her, while Gioia comes to believe she is the one being aimed at.

Lamberto Bava directed the film, working from a screenplay by Daniele Stroppa and Gianfranco Clerici, with Luciano Martino producing. It was released in 1987, the sixth of Bava's credited features listed here, arriving between Demons 2 and The Cave of the Golden Rose 3. Serena Grandi plays Gioia, and the cast includes Vanni Corbellini, George Eastman, David Brandon, Sabrina Salerno and Karl Zinny, an ensemble drawn largely from Italian genre cinema of the period.

The film belongs to the Italian horror and mystery cycles of the 1980s, mixing a giallo-style killer with the world of glamour publishing. Its ratings sit on the modest side, with 5.7 out of 10 on IMDb from around 2,900 votes and 5.4 out of 10 on TMDB from roughly a hundred votes.
