Singh Is Bliing

Singh Is Bliing is an Indian action comedy about Raftaar Singh, a carefree young man in Punjab who avoids responsibility and refuses the marriages his parents arrange for him. Tired of his behaviour, his father issues an ultimatum: marry a woman of the family's choosing or leave home and work for a friend of his father's in Goa. Raftaar picks Goa.

Settling into his new job, he is given an assignment that brings him into contact with Sara, a woman with her own reasons for being there. He falls for her quickly, but her situation turns out to be more dangerous than he expected, and the two are drawn into confrontations that carry them as far as Romania.

The film was released in October 2015 and runs 140 minutes. Prabhu Deva directed and wrote the screenplay, with Ashvini Yardi producing for Eros International and Grazing Goat Pictures. Akshay Kumar plays Raftaar, Amy Jackson plays Sara, and the supporting cast includes Rati Agnihotri, Lara Dutta, Kay Kay Menon and Sunny Leone. It followed Prabhu Deva's Ramaiya Vastavaiya and came before Radhe in his directing credits.

Audience scores are modest: on IMDb it holds 5.1 out of 10 from around 9,800 votes, and on TMDB 5.3 out of 10 from 87 votes.
