Short description
Shelter is a drama about Hannah and Tahir, two people experiencing homelessness on the streets of New York. As they fall in love, the story examines the events that led them to their current situation. While they support one another through the hardships of living outdoors, they initially keep the details of their troubled pasts secret. Together, they attempt to use their bond to find a way toward a better future.
Written and directed by Paul Bettany, the film stars Jennifer Connelly and Anthony Mackie in the lead roles, with supporting performances by Amy Hargreaves, Bruce Altman, Andrew Polk, and Paul Urcioli. The production was a collaboration between Voltage Pictures, The Bridge Finance Company, and Bifrost Pictures.
