Larry is the biological father of eight-year-old Noel, and he wants nothing more than to give her the perfect Christmas. His problem is that the toy she has set her heart on, a talking teddy called Harrison the Bear, has sold out everywhere. Noel's stepfather Victor sees an opportunity in the shortage: he has managed to get hold of one of the bears and intends to be the one who makes the girl's wish come true, leaving Larry unable to compete. What follows is a contest between the two men over who can be the better father, with the last remaining bear as the prize.
The film is a family comedy directed by Alex Zamm, working from a screenplay by Stephen Mazur. It is the sixth feature in Zamm's directing career, arriving after The Little Rascals Save the Day earlier the same year and before Crown for Christmas the following year. Comedian Larry the Cable Guy plays Larry, with Brian Stepanek as Victor, Kennedi Clements as Noel and Lauren K. Robek as Trish, among a credited cast of thirty-one. It was produced by 20th Century Fox with WWE Studios on a budget of five million dollars.
Audience response has been limited. On IMDb the film holds a rating of 3.9 out of 10 from around 3,300 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 5.2 out of 10 from roughly 132 votes, a small sample by comparison.
