Nabat

Set during an escalation of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, this drama follows Nabat and her husband, Iskender, an elderly and ailing former forestry worker. The couple lives in isolation, grieving the loss of their son who was killed in battle. They survive by selling milk from their only cow, which Nabat transports to a nearby village. As the war spreads, the village is gradually deserted. Following the death of her husband, Nabat is left to survive alone in the abandoned region.

The film was produced in Azerbaijan by Azerbaijanfilm and the Azerbaijan Republic Ministry of Culture. It was directed by Elchin Guliyev, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Elkhan Nabiyev. The movie stars Fatemeh Motamed-Arya in the title role, alongside Vidadi Aliyev, Sabir Mammadov, Ferhad Israfilov, Ramil Zeynalov, and Rahila Mammadova.

Released on August 29, 2014, the film has a runtime of 105 minutes. Audience reception is generally positive, with a rating of 7.2 on IMDb based on 345 votes and a score of 6.3 on TMDB from 10 votes.
