Short description
Two unemployed friends, Valentino and Salvo, leave Palermo to seek better opportunities in Valentino's hometown of Monteforte. Faced with an economic crisis, they discover that the town is mostly inhabited by elderly residents. The pair decides to sustain themselves by managing the pensions of the local seniors, providing care in exchange for financial control. While this arrangement initially brings them wealth and a new car, the deaths of their clients lead to instability, prompting Salvo to push Valentino into a strategic marriage to secure a future income.
This 2014 Italian comedy was co-directed by Salvatore Ficarra and Valentino Picone, who also wrote the screenplay with Edoardo De Angelis and starred as the lead characters. This production marks the fourth film in the directors' collaborative chronology, following 7 and 8, La matassa, and Anche se è amore non si vede.
