Howl

Howl is a British horror film about a group of people trapped on a train when a creature attacks them. Joe, a young conductor, is looking forward to the end of his shift when the last train of the night leaves a London station. During a storm, the train comes to a halt in woodland, and passengers are set upon by furred creatures. Joe tries to organise the survivors and join forces with them to hold out against the threat.

Paul Hyett directed the film, following his debut The Seasoning House in 2012, with The Convent arriving later in 2018. Mark Huckerby and Nick Ostler wrote the screenplay, and Ed Speleers plays Joe. The cast also includes Shauna Macdonald as Kate, Elliot Cowan as Adrian, Holly Weston as Ellen, Amit Shah as Matthew and Rosie Day as Nina. The production, made by Starchild Pictures, runs 89 minutes.

On IMDb, the film holds a rating of 5.5 from around 18,000 votes, while on TMDB it has 5.6 from 583 votes. A critics' rating of 5.6 comes from 16 reviews, placing it close to the audience scores on both sites, which suggests a mixed response across viewers and reviewers alike.
