Iron Sky: The Coming Race

Iron Sky: The Coming Race takes place about two decades after the events of Iron Sky. Earth has been laid waste by nuclear war, and the old Nazi moon base has become humanity's final refuge. Buried beneath the barren surface lies a power that could rescue the survivors or wipe them out, along with a secret about how the human race came to be. Led by Obi Washington and accompanied by an old adversary, a group travels into the Hollow Earth, where they must face the Vril, an ancient race of shape-shifting reptiles, and their army of dinosaurs.

The film is a German-Finnish co-production directed by Timo Vuorensola, who wrote the screenplay with Dalan Musson and produced it with Tero Kaukomaa and Oliver Damian. It follows Iron Sky in Vuorensola's filmography and precedes Jeepers Creepers: Reborn, 97 Minutes and Altered. Lara Rossi plays Obi Washington, with Vladimir Burlakov, Kit Dale, Julia Dietze, Stephanie Paul and Tom Green among the cast.

Released in January 2019 with a budget of 18 million US dollars, the film received weak scores: 5 out of 10 on IMDb from around 13,000 votes and 5.2 out of 10 on TMDB from 479 votes. A critics' rating of 3.6 out of 10 from seven reviews places it below even those modest audience figures.
