• The film's plot was overheard by Winterberg from a radio listener who was recounting a scandal that had occurred in his family on live radio.
• After the film was released, the radio station arranged a face-to-face meeting between Winterberg and this listener, where he confessed that nothing like that had happened in his family and he had made it all up.
• Thomas Winterberg played the role of a taxi driver who gave Gbatoeka, Helen's boyfriend, a ride.
• During lunch, the cinematographer found it difficult to adhere to the 'Dogme' rule of using a handheld camera – he was replaced by one of the actors sitting at the table.
