Chronicle of a Blood Merchant

Following the Korean War, a kind but poor man named Heo Sam-gwan hopes to marry the most beautiful woman in his village, Heo Ok-ran. To prove his health and earn the necessary funds for marriage, he sells his blood. Although the couple eventually builds a happy life with three children, their stability is threatened years later. The family faces a crisis when rumors emerge regarding the paternity of their eldest son, who does not look like his father.

This 2015 South Korean historical drama marks the first directing effort for Ha Jung-woo, who also co-wrote the screenplay and stars as the lead character. He is joined in the main cast by Ha Ji-won, Nam Da-reum, No Kang-min, Jeon Hye-jin, and Jang Gwang, with a total of 22 credited actors.
