War Room

War Room follows Tony and Elizabeth Jordan, a middle-class couple whose life looks enviable from the outside: successful careers, a nice home, and a daughter named Danielle. Behind that picture, their marriage has broken down into open conflict, and Danielle is caught in the middle. Elizabeth's outlook shifts after she meets Clara Williams, an older woman of strong faith who becomes her client and then her mentor. Clara urges Elizabeth to stop battling her husband and instead to pray for her family and to set aside a dedicated place for that prayer.

The film was directed by Alex Kendrick, who wrote the screenplay with Stephen Kendrick; Stephen also produced. It was the fifth feature Kendrick directed, arriving after Courageous in 2011 and before Overcomer in 2019. Karen Abercrombie plays Clara, with Priscilla C. Shirer as Elizabeth, T.C. Stallings as Tony, Alena Pitts as Danielle, and Michael Jr. as Michael Alexander, among a credited cast of 114.

War Room was released in the United States in August 2015 and runs 120 minutes. Made for about 3 million dollars, it returned roughly 73 million dollars worldwide. On IMDb it holds 6.4/10 from over 15,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 7.9/10 from a much smaller base of around 600.
