Mac and Kelly Radner are preparing to move to the suburbs with their young daughter and a second child on the way. Before they can sell their house, a university sorority moves in next door, and the new neighbours prove far louder and more chaotic than the fraternity that once lived there. With their property value at stake, the couple turn to their former rival Teddy Sanders, hoping his charm and experience with campus parties can help them drive the sorority out.
Nicholas Stoller directed the film, his sixth feature after Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Get Him to the Greek, The Five-Year Engagement and the first Neighbors, and released in the same year as Storks. Stoller wrote the screenplay with Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, who also produced alongside James Weaver. Rogen and Rose Byrne return as the Radners, with Zac Efron as Teddy, Chloë Grace Moretz as sorority leader Shelby, and Dave Franco and Ike Barinholtz among the credited cast of thirty-seven.
Made for about 35 million dollars, the film took roughly 108 million worldwide. On IMDb it holds 5.7/10 from around 137,000 votes, and on TMDB 5.8/10 from about 4,700 votes. A critics' rating of 5.8/10 from 203 reviews places it close to the audience scores.
