The Ark

The Ark tells the story of Noah, a farmer and family man who receives a command from an angel to build a large vessel in the middle of a desert. He is told the construction will save his household and the faithful from a coming flood, but the task meets resistance on every side: his sons do not believe him or offer their help, the townspeople mock him, and his own loving family grows weary of the undertaking. Noah persists in carrying out what he believes God has asked of him.

This British television drama was directed by Kenneth Glenaan, whose filmography also includes Magnificent 7, released a decade earlier. Tony Jordan wrote the screenplay, Jules Hussey produced, and the production came from Lipsync Productions, the BBC and Red Planet Pictures. David Threlfall leads the cast as Noah, with Joanne Whalley as Emmy, Antonia Thomas as Sabba, Nico Mirallegro as Kenan, Ashley Walters as the Angel and Don Warrington as Paul. The film runs 88 minutes and blends drama with fantasy elements.

On TMDB it holds a rating of 5.7 out of 10 based on a small number of votes.
