RajiniMurugan

Rajini Murugan is a 2015 Indian action-comedy about a young man who finds himself locked in a feud with Yezharai Mookkan, a schemer trying to claim a share of Murugan's family property. Mookan's method is to smear the reputation of Murugan's grandfather, and Murugan's stand against him drives the conflict.

The film was directed and written by Ponram, with N. Linguswamy and N. Subash Chandra Bose producing for Eros International and Thirrupathi Brothers Film Media. Sivakarthikeyan plays the title role, alongside Keerthy Suresh as Karthiga Devi, Soori as PK Soori, Samuthirakani as Mookan, Rajkiran as Murugan's grandfather and G. Gnanasambandam as his father. Running 159 minutes, it mixes action and comedy across a cast built around Sivakarthikeyan's lead performance.

Released in December 2015, the film drew modest audience scores, sitting at 5.9 out of 10 on IMDb from around 2,400 votes and 5.3 out of 10 on TMDB from a much smaller group of 27. The difference in the number of votes reflects how much wider the film's reach was among IMDb users than among those logging it on TMDB, while both scores point to a middling reception rather than a breakout hit.
