Set in Kosovo in 2004, this drama follows Nenad, a ten-year-old Christian boy living in a Serbian enclave. The community exists in isolation and faces harsh living conditions, requiring armored transport for basic tasks like attending school. When Nenad's grandfather passes away, the family faces the challenge of transporting the body to a cemetery located in territory controlled by the opposing side. To ensure a proper burial, Nenad risks crossing enemy lines, where he forms unlikely friendships with local Muslim children despite the deep divisions and hatred fueled by the war.
The film was directed and written by Goran Radovanović and is the first of two films listed in his career, followed by The Erl-King in 2024.
