Fifty Shades Freed

Fifty Shades Freed follows newlyweds Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey as they settle into married life and the wealth that comes with it, believing the dangers of their past are behind them. Their happiness proves short-lived: figures from before their marriage resurface, and Anastasia finds herself the target of someone seeking revenge against the couple. The film is the third and closing chapter of the Fifty Shades trilogy, adapted from E. L. James's novels, and continues the story begun in the two earlier installments.

James Foley directs, his second consecutive entry in the series after Fifty Shades Darker, and the tenth film in a directing career that stretches back to the mid-1980s and includes Glengarry Glen Ross and Fear. Niall Leonard wrote the screenplay, with Michael De Luca, Marcus Viscidi and Dana Brunetti producing. Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan return as the leads, joined by Eric Johnson as Jack Hyde, Eloise Mumford, Rita Ora and Luke Grimes among a credited cast of 64.

Released in January 2018, the film cost about 55 million dollars and took roughly 372 million dollars worldwide, a return that confirms the series' commercial strength even as its reception was mixed. Critics were largely negative, scoring it 3.3 out of 10 across 193 reviews, while audiences were kinder on TMDB at 6.7 from 8,432 votes; on IMDb it holds 4.6 from 83,000 votes.
