Jeruzalem is a 2016 horror film directed by brothers Doron and Yoav Paz, who also wrote and produced it. Sarah and Rachel, two young American women, travel to Jerusalem with Kevin, an anthropology student they meet along the way. Their visit coincides with Yom Kippur, and what begins as a holiday turns into a biblical apocalypse as the holy city comes under siege by demonic forces. Trapped inside the ancient walls, the visitors must find a way out of a place that has been sealed off and overrun.
The film belongs to the found-footage tradition, with much of the action seen through the camera of one of the characters. Yael Grobglas plays Rachel Klein, Danielle Jadelyn plays Sarah Pullman, and Yon Tumarkin plays Kevin Reed, with Tom Graziani as Omar. The cast totals around forty credited performers, supported by more than eighty credited crew members across a co-production between Israel and the United States.
Jeruzalem was the first feature directed by the Paz brothers, who returned five years later with Plan A. It runs ninety-four minutes. On IMDb it holds a rating of 4.8 from roughly twelve thousand votes, while on TMDB it sits at 5.5 from a much smaller pool of around 660 votes. A critics' rating of 5.6 from twenty-four reviews places professional response slightly above the broader audience scores. Its blend of action, horror, science fiction and thriller elements reflects the film's attempt to mix disaster spectacle with supernatural terror.
