The Equalizer 2

Robert McCall is a former intelligence operative who now lives quietly in Boston and works as a driver. He continues to help people he considers worthy and to punish those he considers cruel, while the CIA believes him dead. Only his old friend and former colleague Susan Plummer knows the truth and occasionally visits him. When Susan is killed in Brussels during an assignment that is staged to look like a robbery, McCall decides to find everyone responsible and settle the score.

The film is a sequel to The Equalizer and again stars Denzel Washington as McCall, with Antoine Fuqua returning as director. Pedro Pascal plays Dave York, a former colleague of McCall's, and Melissa Leo appears as Susan Plummer. Ashton Sanders, Orson Bean and Bill Pullman are also in the cast. Richard Wenk wrote the screenplay, and Washington produced alongside Steve Tisch and Mace Neufeld. It is the thirteenth of nineteen films Fuqua has directed in chronological order, following The Magnificent Seven and preceding Infinite.

Made for 62 million dollars, the film took in about 190 million dollars worldwide. On IMDb it holds 6.7 out of 10 from roughly 228,000 votes, and on TMDB 6.8 out of 10 from around 6,160 votes. A critics' rating of 5.6 out of 10 from 211 reviews places it below the audience scores on both sites.
