My Little Pony: Equestria Girls - Friendship Games

Canterlot High takes on its rival, Crystal Prep Academy, in the Friendship Games, a sporting competition between the two schools. Sunset Shimmer and her friends must work together to compete against Crystal Prep's top students while keeping magic away from the events. The arrival of Crystal Prep's Twilight Sparkle, who has her own interest in Equestria's magic, complicates matters.

The film is an animated family musical directed by Ishi Rudell, following his earlier work on My Little Pony: Equestria Girls – Rainbow Rocks and Perfect Day for Fun, and preceding My Little Pony: Equestria Girls - Legend of Everfree. Josh Haber wrote the screenplay, and Devon Cody produced it for DHX Media and Hasbro Studios. The voice cast includes Tara Strong, Rebecca Shoichet, Ashleigh Ball, Andrea Libman, Tabitha St. Germain and Cathy Weseluck, with twenty-one credited performers in total. It runs seventy-two minutes.

Released in October 2015, the film has a rating of 6.6 out of 10 on IMDb from around 2,800 votes, and 7.5 out of 10 on TMDB from about 154 votes. The two scores suggest a modest but generally favourable response from viewers, stronger among the smaller TMDB sample than the broader IMDb one.
