A Man Who Was Superman

A television producer specializing in human interest stories has grown weary of the artificial emotions she encounters in her professional life. Just as she considers leaving her career behind to film wildlife in Africa, she meets a man who claims to be Superman from the planet Krypton. Despite his lack of actual powers, which he attributes to the presence of kryptonite, he spends his time trying to help others. Intrigued by his sincerity and naive nature, the producer decides to film a documentary about him.

Directed by Chung Yoon-chul, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Yoon Jin-ho, the film features Hwang Jung-min as the man claiming to be Superman and Jun Ji-hyun as the producer. The production was backed by CJ Entertainment and CGV. With a budget of 4 million USD, the movie earned an equal amount at the worldwide box office.
