Marguerite

Set in Paris during the 1920s, the story follows Marguerite Dumont, a wealthy woman with a deep love for opera. For years, Marguerite has performed for her husband and a circle of acquaintances who encourage her, though she is completely tone-deaf. Unaware of her lack of talent and living in a state of illusion, she eventually decides to challenge herself by performing before a real audience at the Opera.

Written and directed by Xavier Giannoli, this film is the third in a chronological sequence of his works, following Only the Night and Superstar. The movie stars Catherine Frot as the title character, alongside André Marcon, Michel Fau, Christa Théret, Denis Mpunga, and Sylvain Dieuaide.
