Trojan War

Trojan War examines Pete Carroll's nine-year tenure as the leader of the USC football program. After taking over following the 2000 season, Carroll used his recruiting abilities and sports knowledge to return the struggling Trojans to the top of college football. This era was marked by high attendance, a 34-game winning streak, and multiple Heisman trophies won by Carson Palmer, Matt Leinart, and Reggie Bush. The film uses the 2006 Rose Bowl national championship game against the University of Texas as a focal point to explore this period. It also addresses the later revelations of misconduct that led to the loss of victories, scholarships, and one Heisman trophy.

Directed by Aaron Rahsaan Thomas, this documentary was produced by ESPN and ESPN Films. The film features interviews with Pete Carroll and Matt Leinart, and includes archive footage of Reggie Bush.
