Two college freshmen at the University of Akron in Ohio, Benny and Christopher, begin a romantic relationship after meeting at a football game. Although their families and friends support the couple, their bond is tested when a tragic event from the past involving their mothers is revealed. This shared history threatens to separate the two young men and strain their family ties.
