Short description
Peshwa Bajirao married to Kashibai, falls in love with Mastani, a warrior princess in distress. They struggle to make their love triumph amid opposition from his conservative family.
What's left behind the scenes
- The war scene involved 800 extras, 500 horses, and 25 elephants. It took 20 days to film near Jaipur.
- The screenplay was written 12 years before work began on the film, so, taking into account the preferences of the modern audience, certain changes were made – it was made shorter and more dynamic.
- Rehearsals for the dance scene to the song “Pinga” took several days.
- 22 sets were constructed.
