Looking: The Movie

Looking: The Movie concludes the story of Patrick Murray, a video game designer who left San Francisco for Denver after his relationships there fell apart. Nearly a year later, he returns to the city to celebrate a significant event with his close friends Agustín, Dom and Doris. The visit forces him to confront the unresolved ties he walked away from, particularly with his former boyfriend Richie, a barber, and Kevin, who was both his boss and his lover. As he reconnects with the people he left behind, Patrick has to decide what he truly wants and where his life should go next.

The film serves as a finale to the HBO series Looking, with Andrew Haigh directing from a screenplay he wrote with series creator Michael Lannan. It sits between 45 Years and Lean on Pete in Haigh's filmography. Jonathan Groff leads a cast that includes Frankie J. Alvarez, Murray Bartlett, Lauren Weedman, Russell Tovey and Raúl Castillo, all continuing roles from the show.

On IMDb, the film holds a rating of 7.5 from around 11,000 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 7.1 from roughly 245 votes. A critics' rating of 6.8 from 18 reviews places it somewhat below the audience scores. The film runs 85 minutes and was produced by HBO and Fair Harbor Productions.
