Sybille is a successful actress who decides to move behind the camera to direct a project based on her own script. She partners with two eccentric sisters who serve as her producers, leading her to prioritize this professional venture over her home life. While the process begins with enthusiasm, the project soon deteriorates due to budget constraints, repeated script revisions, and questionable casting decisions. Despite her optimistic nature, Sybille eventually finds herself overwhelmed by the instability of her collaborators as the production spirals out of control.
This French comedy was directed by Diane Kurys, following her 1977 film Peppermint Soda and preceding her 2025 work The One I Loved. The screenplay was written by Kurys and actress Sylvie Testud, who also stars as Sybille. The supporting cast includes Josiane Balasko and Zabou Breitman as the producers, alongside Fred Testot, François-Xavier Demaison, and Claire Keim.
The film received a mixed response from general audiences. On IMDb, it holds a rating of 5/10 based on 220 votes, while it has a slightly lower score of 4.6/10 on TMDB from 43 votes.
