Rudy Cafmeyer, a man who earns a living smuggling rare artifacts, travels to Israel to find his archaeologist father. After his father disappears following the discovery of an ancient manuscript, Rudy must navigate a dangerous conspiracy involving a mysterious sect. While facing opposition from local authorities, he teams up with an Israeli police officer to rescue his father and prevent a religious faction from inciting a holy war.
Directed by Sheldon Lettich, the film arrived in 2001, following his previous work on Lionheart, Double Impact, and Only the Strong. It preceded his 2006 project, The Hard Corps. The movie stars Jean-Claude Van Damme, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Les Weldon. The cast includes Charlton Heston, Sofia Milos, Brian Thompson, Ben Cross, and Vernon Dobtcheff.
Produced by Millennium Media, 777 Films Corporation, and Order Productions, the film had a budget of 25 million USD. General audiences gave it a 4.7 rating on IMDb based on 10,000 votes and a 5.1 rating on TMDB from 279 votes.
