Jarhead 3: The Siege

Jarhead 3: The Siege follows Corporal Evan Albright, a Marine who joined an elite security unit hoping for purpose and action, only to find his first posting far quieter than he expected. Assigned to guard a U.S. embassy in a Middle Eastern capital that seems calm, he and his fellow Marines spend their days dealing with protesters outside the compound and passing the time with video games. That routine collapses when heavily armed militants storm the building, aiming to kill an informant inside. Outmatched and caught unprepared, Albright's team must hold the embassy and find a way to survive as the assignment turns into open combat.

The film is directed by William Kaufman, whose earlier features include The Prodigy, Sinners and Saints, The Hit List, One in the Chamber and The Marine 4: Moving Target, with this entry arriving in 2016 between that last title and Daylight's End. Michael D. Weiss and Chad Law wrote the screenplay, and Jeffery Beach and Phillip J. Roth produced. Charlie Weber plays Albright, with Scott Adkins as Gunny Raines, Sasha Jackson as Olivia Winston, Tom Ainsley as Hansen, Dennis Haysbert as Major Lincoln and Dante Basco as Blake. It runs 95 minutes and was released in January 2016.

Audience response has been modest. On IMDb it holds 5.1 out of 10 across roughly 4,400 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.2 out of 10 from about 258 votes. The larger IMDb sample points to a lukewarm reception, and the smaller TMDB group is somewhat more favorable.
